We wrap up our regular season today at 1pm, with what was once supposed to be a dual meet yesterday, and now is a quad today thanks to the snow.
W&L vs. Johns Hopkins (live streaming on the web...generalssports.com) 1pm
W&L vs. West Virginia Tech
W&L vs. East Tennessee State
Results posted around 3 or 3:30. With a win over Hopkins, David Dennis should wrap up the number 1 seed for Saturday's conference championship, and Ersing and Campbell should lock up the 2 or 3 seed. I use the word should because we didn't wrestle Ursinus and Muhlenberg due to extreme weather conditions both here and there, and the seeding meeting will probably be very cantankerous. Looking at the win-losses and common opponents, all three of our sophomores should be a top 3 seed at worst, but you just never know when a bunch of people with competing agendas sit in a room together.
UPDATE...........UPDATE..........................UPDATE....................UPDATE
Forfeiting three matches is never a good recipe for success, but luckily we received more than our share of forfeits today as well on our way to a 2-1 finish. Dennis, Campbell, Ersing all went 3-0 on the day.
Lost to Hopkins 27-18, but we won the matches we needed to win, so very pleased with the result. We defeated West Virginia Tech by a score of 36-15, and East Tennessee State 39-12.
More detailed write-up tomorrow.
