Typically the first few days after conference are pretty crazy, and this year is no exception. I will be posting quite a bit of things here over the next few weeks as I get them finished, but I will be in and out of the office like crazy....here is what's happening over the next few weeks:
Coach Franke and I are leaving tomorrow for the National Prep Tournament at Lehigh, then he is off to the D3 Tourney the following week, where he is a member of the NCAA Committee.
After that, we are both off to the Division 1 NCAA tourney for almost a week, then I return for 3 days and am then gone to Virginia Beach for the NHSCA Jr. National Tournament for 3 or 4 days.
Next on the list is preparing for accepted students visitation day. We have never really done anything before, but this year I am going to have a team event so that the incoming recruits and their families can meet with the team and each other.
Our spring break is up right after that, and I have been invited to speak at a leadership academy in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I really, really, really want to do this, but I will have to pinch some pennies in order to make that happen. It would be very nice though.
At some point during all of this I am supposed to get a local freestyle club up and running, and I'm very excited about that, but I must confess that I am going to be struggling to really give this endeavor the amount of time and attention that I demand of myself to get it done right.
Basically, it never stops. Once we've finalized our incoming students, I prepare the off-season training program, then campus visit time begins again and pretty much goes nonestop through the summer. I sneak in a week or two back in Indiana at some point in early June, but that is it. Last year I had over 30 recruits visit this summer and I hope to at the very least match that number.
