Coach Franke enters his 37th year as Head Coach of the Generals, and now a member of the NCAA D3 Wrestling Committee
Head Wrestling Coach Gary Franke was recently selected to be a member of the NCAA Division III Wrestling committee. The purpose of the sports committee is to develop policies and procedures governing the administration and conduct of the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships. This committee also has the responsibility for all of the NCAA Wrestling Rules and Interpretations. Here is an excerpt from Randy Buhr, the Associate Director of Championships for the NCAA:
"On behalf of the NCAA Division III Wrestling Committee, congratulations on your appointment to the committee, effective September 1, 2009. I look forward to working with you and know you will make a valuable contribution to the championships. "
Congratulations to our fearless leader for becoming a big-timer!
