Accepted Students Day

It is another beautiful day in Lexington, and the wrestling team has gotten stronger already, picking up a couple of committments today at Accepted Students Day. There are over 600 people on campus today visiting, and it is always exciting to meet and speak with this group, as these kids have pretty much all made up their minds about attending W&L, and are extremely happy with their college choice. I can't blame them! W&L is without a doubt one of the best places to attend college, and I am always disappointed when a student makes the decision to attend any other program, because I guarantee that the W&L experience is better.

If you think about college in terms of an investment, I don't believe any other school in the country is going to give you as good a return. We just have the college experience down here. You will be able to have a great athletic, academic, and social career here, and when it's all over in 4 years, you will be set for the rest of your life.

The Honor System will give you a level of integrity that will put you ahead of your peers in the real world.

Your degree will get you interviews at the best firms, the best graduate schools, etc.

Your social and critical thinking skills will help you advance early in your career.

Your athletic experience will prepare you to deal with managing time, expectations, deadlines, and stress, further helping you.

You'll have 3 major networks from W&L Alumni, Fraternity Alumni, and wrestling Alumni.

Plus so many other things. To me, choosing anywhere else other than W&L is insanity, and accepted students on campus today feel that way as well, which is exactly what makes this day, and this University so special.

The spring edition of the Franke Files is finished and being proofread at the moment, and I will submit it today to have it posted. Check back later this afternoon for it.
